Book Deal Announcement

I cannot believe I finally get to announce this after over 6 years of hard, bitter, beautiful work:

My debut novel, SERIAL KILLER SUPPORT GROUP, is hitting bookshelves next year! This dark, queer thriller is about a woman who infiltrates a support group for serial killers to try to discover which one murdered her sister; coming from Crooked Lane Books. Can’t wait to share this new phase of the publishing journey with y’all. (Cover reveal, anyone??)

Oh, and one more thing I should mention—THE MAIN CHARACTER IS SOBER!! That’s right, friends, we have a queer, sober protagonist in a thriller! AND her recovery is portrayed in a bit of a different light (read: she’s actually not in AA). I can’t wait for you to meet her.

I wrote my first short story when I was in elementary school (it was about a murderous nutcracker). I attempted my first novel in middle school (it was about murdering dragons). Now, my first traditionally published book is coming to the world. (Guess what? It’s about murder.)

My whole life, I’ve dreamed of this. I wrote seven other books before this one, got hundreds of rejections, lost one agent before I gained the absolutely fantastic partnership with Amy I have now. The intensity of this path is not for everyone, but it’s all I’ve ever wanted. And this is just the beginning.

To my friends, family, community—thank you. Your love and support means everything. I could write 34 more paragraphs about how grateful I am and how excited I am and how surreal it feels to see my dearest dream come true after all this time, but I’ll spare you.

After all, I won’t be shutting up about this for a long time.

More soon. 🖤
