I am ecstatic to share that my contemporary gothic horror A THOUSAND MONSTROUS FORMS is going to be published next fall!

I love all my children equally, but this book holds a special place in my heart. It’s a twisted love letter to art and to the literature that shaped my interest and affection for writing. And it’s really, really creepy.
Every writer has one book they won’t give up on, and A THOUSAND MONSTROUS FORMS is mine. This is an industry of rejection, and I slogged through years of it before breaking in. People talk about having a “soul book,” but I quickly learned that was dangerous, so I taught myself to disengage from my work to protect myself.
I wrote this book a month before I sold my debut, but I kept coming back to it, worried, because even then, I realized I unwittingly wrote a soul book. And though ATMF was written in 2024, the idea for this book—a sapphic retelling of “Bluebeard” that doubles as an homage to Edmund Spenser’s “The Faerie Queene”—has been rattling around my head since college. It feels correct that this will be my fourth novel, finally ready to stretch its legs and run.
More details coming later!
